Sheri Gordon · Artist & Designer
I’m a Canadian artist whose work is rooted in a lifelong connection to horses, wildlife, and the natural world.
Growing up on the Saskatchewan prairies, I was surrounded by family that loved horsepower and yet I somehow developed an early fascination with horses. Without a horse of my own, I turned to drawing them, and that childhood passion eventually became a lifelong creative pursuit.
Today, my creativity is expressed in a variety of mediums, with horses and the Canadian landscape remaining central sources of inspiration. I’m particularly drawn to the character, movement, and quiet moments found in the natural world.
My love of the prairie extends beyond the studio. Living among the aspen parkland of Saskatchewan, I find endless inspiration in changing skies, wildlife, storms, and the landscape around me. Storm chasing and photography have become part of that creative exploration, often finding their way into my landscape work.
Whether I’m working on the expressive movement of a horse, the character of a wild animal, or the dramatic atmosphere of a prairie sky, my goal is simple: to create work that captures a sense of wild beauty, spirit, and connection.
